I think I never said this often in this blog but I love reading. And I love books, but we don’t have a space for books in our current home so I satisfy reading needs with e-books. I’m not sure if this is good especially around Una because her idea of reading is using my mobile phone. Though she have several books for toddlers (board books), and she loves it. If she’s in the mood — which is not often enough – I would read one of her board books, Finding Nemo. Sometimes I would hear her pretend to read and she would point out the animals in Finding Nemo. She said Marlin is Daddy, Nemo is her and Mommy (me) is Dory, hahaha!
Well, at least my efforts of introducing her to books didn’t go to waste. In fact, she loves visiting bookstores and we would hang out in the children’s book section and she would look at the pretty pictures.
I’m not sure what book to buy her next. Hopefully I’ll get lucky with Dr. Seuss books. I love those books and she’s now familiar with The Cat in the Hat.
PS. We arrived in the bookstore with the books arranged like that. Believe me, I had a hard time resisting to rearrange them.

this is very timely. my youngest is right now showing keen interest on reading too and is also pretending to read, lol.i could just imagine your little girl.

reading an e-book is just not the same as reading a physical copy…mum also loves books + i guess the habit is rubbing on me, as with Una.
maybe we can have a playdate at the bookstore one time, i bet Una + i will have a grand time reading the books on display ^_^

It’s hard din to buy books for the kids no.. lalo na ung mga age na gaya nila ni sati, more often than not pinupunit lang ung books, kaya madalas I buy hard paper books
Oo, I made that mistake the first time kaya nasayang lang. Ngayon panay mga board books na binibili ko kay Una. Yung mga regular paper naman, tinatabi ko agad kapag hindi niya na feel basahin.
