Say Goodbye to Difficult Morning Routines

For most kids, getting up in the morning and preparing to school is a dreaded daily situation. In here you’ll find parents using various tricks on order to get their kids excited and motivated for school. Of course who would want to get up early when you can stay in bed throughout the day? Even with the loud sound of the alarms, some kids are just too lazy to start their day. What could be an hour of preparation from bath, breakfast, brushing teeth and wearing uniform could often extend up to two hours which is why moms often find themselves awake as early as 4 a.m.

Here are some tips on how you can get them ready for school in no time:

If your kid is having a hard time bathing in the morning, let them take a bath at night before going to bed. Teach them how to get dressed before leaving their rooms in order to save time. For the most part they will be excited to learn this responsibility as it gives them the freedom to act as matured adults. If they prefer taking a bath every morning, set a schedule for them to follow. Get all the stuff ready the night before so that bath time could be a breeze.

Introduce the concept of morning chores for working moms, time is very important. Let your kids learn about kitchen chores such as helping to set and clean the table after breakfast. If each of them would have a specific task to do, then you’ll have time to take care of your personal needs as well.

Get their attention in the morning by playing some music or tuning the television on their favorite channel. This will keep them focused while waiting for the school bus or waiting for you to be ready. At the very least you won’t have kids running around.

These are just some tips on how you can alleviate the stress brought by morning routines with kids.

My kid has no problem getting up in the morning, it seems that I am the only one in the family who is not a morning person.. LOL! Seriously, Chakai wakes up at 5:30 to wake me up and I tell her to go back to sleep because it’s too early and to wake me up at 6. LOL!

My hubby is my alarm clock, because normal alarm clocks will not wake me up no matter how loud it is.. :P I am a sound sleeper when my husband is home but super light sleeper when he’s out of town on a business trip.. Weird? Yes, I know.. :P

    Great tips though! :)

I love the tips, most especially, the one that says using TV to get their attention. I actually do this to wake my son up sometimes. As soon as he hears whatever is playing on Nickelodeon, he opens his eyes.
