Hearty breakfast for kids this summer

During summer vacation, it’s common for children to skip breakfast. Most kids would often wake up a little later than usual and end up missing the most important meal of the day.

In skipping the morning fare, children would often reason they are not hungry or would rather do other things like play or watch TV. Some kids may opt for sugary treats or chips for breakfast which could only satisfy their hunger but not their health needs.

Without eating a healthy breakfast, your child will miss out on necessary nutrients for his body and energy he needs for the day. Skipping breakfast will also make him eat more on his next meal or snack on more junk food.

Get your kids to eat breakfast by offering them alternatives. Give them fruits or bread. The choices are endless as long as you make sure your child gets all the nutrients he needs.

Another great way to get your children to enjoy breakfast is to give them Energen, an easy to prepare cereal drink which contains fiber-rich malt and oats.

Healthy and filling, the drink is packed with vitamins A, B1, B2, B6, B12, D, E, and calcium. Distributed by TriDharma Marketing Corporation, Energen comes in two delicious flavors: vanilla and chocolate.

This summer, give your kids the best reason to wake up early and enjoy breakfast. Offer them a mug of delicious and nutritious Energen to jumpstart their day.

We drink smoothies a lot in the morning. Bananas, a little OJ and Greek yogurt are usually the staples, and then we throw in whatever fresh or frozen fruit we have on hand. Sometimes I’ll toss in a handful of spinach which you can never even tell is there. My little guy is a huge fan. He gobbles them up!

I wish I could have my daughter eat yogurt. She said it’s sour but she loves drinking Yakult. She’s a bit picky with smoothies but she loves to eat fruits: apples, bananas, mangoes and watermelon (or waterLEMON according to her). :D
