I don’t think I have blogged about my love of reading here. As a matter of fact, I do. I used to love buying books and hanging out bookstores when I was still that independent single woman. But now that I’m a mom, I try to share that love of reading with my little girl. In fact, the very first book I bought for Una was published by Adarna House.
Adarna House is a local publishing company that focuses on children’s story book made by local writers. Their books are colorful, really affordable, and usually set in two languages: Filipino and English. So it’s like getting two books for the price of one.
Whenever I get the chance, I always make sure to grab at least one copy of Adarna books. It’s a long process but I plan on collecting their story books for Una. You cannot imagine how happy I was when I learned about the Adarna House Christmas Sale. I still have until December 22, 2011 to plan my shopping attack. This book lover is getting giddy by the thought of the 70% discount on most titles. I feel like I’m entering toy stores like Deals Direct, so many to choose from, so little time.
So if you love to read and want to influence the little ones around you, visit the Adarna House showroom, located at 109 Scout Fernandez corner Scout Torillo Streets, Barangay Sacred Heart, Quezon City. Business hours are: Monday to Saturday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
